BLOODY TRAIL by Joel Benjamin Nevender

Upto this point in time,
Regardless of the rhythm and the rhyme,
You will see there’s been a lot ot murder, yes let’s call it crime,
Leaving a pool of red and a much bloodied trail.

Let’s recollect, go back to the start
Try to put some third angle on all of this dirt;
Then we shall understand, this is more than a rhyme
It’s a finger pointing at the suspects in this felony.

It was the girl with the dragon tattoo
One who would never boo hoo
She took the rage and the pain out
Onto some bat eyed boo…

He never knew love like this
And when pain became the son of bliss
A red eyed monster came out
To make all girls pay.

So the boy wanted vengeance
And the girl did too
And in their trail left a generation
That wanted it too.

But when the loneliness caved in,
Remembering he could have loved her pure
The darkness engulfed him
Blackened his heart too.

She could have chose forgiveness
Let the one sin pass,
But because she held onto it
There’s a bloody trail now.

Mistrust among men and women
Saying the other is a liar
The chance of love was scorned
Coz the love they never took.

Love forgives and gives itself time
To heal and repent of all that’s gone wrong;
Love can stand on its two feet
And give everything away without reservation.
