Shall we dance by Fatha Rebelle

Shall We Dance!

I dance to the music of my soul
I’ll dance to the pounding beats of the African drums
I’ll boot step to the perfect guitar strums
I’ll stamp my feet to the wild heavy cords of my “Adungu”
I’ll waltz to the melodic tunes of this lyre
I’ll glide and hum to the angelic symphony of this harp
I’ll jump up and down to the roaring sounds of my electric guitar
I’ll float to the harmonic hymn of this flute
I’ll get married to the stringy sounds of my “Endingidi”
I’ll sing along to the beauty of love, life’s betrayals, life’s battles
life’s sorrows, life’s success and life’s tomorrow.
I’ll dance to my rhythms, with my tempo.
I refuse to dance to your music
But if we must, lets dance together.
You and I in unison
Your energy filling my grind
Your tempo supporting mine
Into a synergy so devine
Because you and I
Dance to our music so fine.
