Zuhura Seng’enge

Zuhura Seng’enge is a performance poet and young entrepreneur, volunteering as coordinator of Writers’ Lounge with Culture and Development East Africa (CDEA), Tanzania.

As a poet Zuhura has participated in several literary, social cultural and art events such as; The Woman Scream International Poetry Festival (2014 and 2015),  Pan- African Women’s Day Programme (2015), Mwalimu Nyerere Professional Chair in Pan- Africanism 7th Intellectual Festival (2015),  Tanzania and Ireland Women Creative Agency in Liberation (2016) and others.

Zuhura’s poetry has been featured in several online platforms like the Badilisha Poetry Exchange, the African Writers Trust, Arusha Poetry Club, and other Platforms, while her first narrative poetry ‘LESEDI’ will be featured this year (2016) in an upcoming African Writers Trust Anthology in Kampala, Uganda. Zuhura organizes and participates in different projects that promote social cohesion and inspire change. Currently, she is working to complete her poetry chapbook after releasing her first poetry audio collection, ‘Warrior Unleashed’  on July 15th 2016. Zuhura aspires to become a successful international entrepreneur and performer.
